Teaching assistant

Hours: 32.5 hours a week; 8.30 – 15.30 with 30 min lunch; 39 weeks a year (Term time + INSET days)
Pay Scale: Grade E, Point 13 (£17,391 FTE; £13,064.67 pro rata)

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our innovative and thriving Additional Educational Needs Team. 

You will be required to support students with a variety of additional educational needs both on a 1.1 basis and through classroom group support. Patience, flexibility, and the desire to make a difference are essential, and experience of working with teenagers, preferably in a school environment is desirable. 

Experience of working with young people with a range of additional needs (e.g. those with Social & Emotional Difficulties (SEMH), Autism, or ADHD) would be an advantage, as would experience of teaching small groups for literacy/numeracy intervention.

Applicants should also be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths.

There is a nursery on site that is run by a private company.
