Meet our Members and Trustees

Our Members

Members have overall responsibility for the Trust and are like shareholders in a company.

Our members are:

Kevin Crompton

A former teacher in London, Kevin has worked in various roles in local authorities, has been adviser to the Teacher Training Agency on Teacher Standards, held senior roles in Birmingham Education Department, was Director of Children’s Services in Solihull and Bedford, and Chief Executive for Luton and Haringey local authorities. 

Pauline Waterhouse OBE

Pauline began her career in education as a teacher of English. She was principal and chief executive of Blackpool and the Flyde College which has National Beacon of Excellence status and is one of the largest FE/HE colleges in the UK. Pauline has also worked in a large city education authority where she was involved in primary, secondary and tertiary reorganisation.

Jon Harris

Jon has been a headteacher at an inner-city, autism-specific special primary school since September 2013.  Before that, he was a senior leader in four other schools – three of them mainstream secondary comprehensives. 


Our Trustees

Trustees oversee the performance of our academies and report to the Members. They hold overall responsibility for governance across all academies. This includes:

  • Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the school
  • Overseeing the financial performance and making sure money is well spent
  • Setting the strategic direction of the Trust

Pauline Waterhouse OBE

Jon Harris

Ayo Salam

Ayo has a background in financial services regulation with a number of regulatory compliance roles for various organisations in the finance and financial services sector.  Currently head of compliance for a global financial services business, he also has a background in law and has served as school governor in a secondary school in Milton Keynes.

Stephen Morales

With a 20-year career history in operations and finance in the public and private sectors, Stephen has managed significant change management programmes for local government and international commercial banking organisation. Stephen was business director at Watford Grammar School for Girls for six years and finance director at the International British School, Tenerife for three years. 

Fiona Wheeler

A former parent governor at Northampton International Academy, Fiona is a qualified solicitor and is a governor at a Catholic primary school in Northampton.

Irfana Malik

Irfana has over 25 years of commercial experience specialising in risk management, compliance, audit, corporate governance and financial and operation strategies gained in multiple blue chip and private commodity organisations. 

Andy Davis

Andy’s background is in the hotel and conference industry before moving into vehicle sales and management. He currently works within the Volkswagen National Learning Centre in MK which is the largest automotive training facility of its kind in the UK. Andy has served as a school governor on two governing boards, most recently as a governor at Prince William School in Oundle.

Leigh Jones

Leigh is head of resourcing for a social justice charity working with disadvantaged children and adults. Leigh is experienced in project management, finance and HR.
