Food technician at Prince William School

Salary: Grade D, Point 10 - 12 depending on experience (£16,863 - £17,173 FTE, £11,693.55 - £11,908.54 pro rata) 

Hours: 30 hours per week (5 days per week, 9.00am – 4.00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.), 39 weeks per year, (term time + 5 INSET training days).

Prince William School requires a Food Technology Technician to support the work of the staff teaching Food Technology in the Art, Design & Technology department. 

Key responsibilities will include maintaining hygiene health and safety standards in the department and in lessons, stock control and purchase, and resource allocation and preparation, although some support of specific students in some lessons may also be required.
The successful candidate will be resilient and hard-working, able to work effectively in a busy environment, and confident about working with teenagers as well as other adults.  Experience of working with young people is desirable, as is experience of working in a school environment, but training will be provided.
