East Midlands Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a number of School Improvement Partners to work with its seven schools within our Trust – a new all-through school in Northampton, a secondary school in Oundle and five primary schools across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

As a Trust, we are expanding with a strategy for ‘sustainable growth’ in a clustered approach in the Midlands region. Through our academy improvement plans, we are committed to ensuring our schools set high expectations for themselves and their pupils, and believe every child deserves to be the best they can be, whatever their background or circumstances.

The candidates appointed will be expected to:

  • Work in partnership with individual schools and EMAT
  • Offer challenge and support within the current educational context both local and national
  • Interpret complex and detailed quantitative and qualitative data accurately
  • Work with senior leadership teams to determine the next steps in the strategic development of the school
  • Communicate in a precise and evaluative manner both written and orally
  • Identify purposeful school to school support as well as other professional development opportunities
  • Provide accurate evaluations
  • Attend additional meetings where requested for allocated schools
  • Provide Ofsted inspection support where requested

Successful applicants will be contracted to work with an agreed number of school(s).

Applications are welcome from educational professionals with a proven track record of challenging and developing school leadership in a senior role. The Trust is looking for their team of Academy Improvement Partners to be at the forefront of expertise in their area with a reputation of excellence. Experience of headship would be preferable.
